Before you start your website: what to prepare
A short, practical list of what helps to have ready before the first meeting — goal, audience, pages, content and languages — so your project starts with a clear step.
Many business owners start with the question: “How much does a website cost?” But the question that really saves time is: “What do I want my website to do?”
Once the answer is clear, every decision after it gets easier: the design, the pages and the way customers reach you.
Here is a short list of what helps to have ready before the first meeting.
Pick one clear goal
Ask yourself: what do I want a visitor to do?
- Order a product
- Book an appointment
- Send a message on WhatsApp
- Get to know your services and trust them
A website that tries to do everything with the same weight distracts the visitor. One main goal and a few secondary ones are enough.
Know who you are talking to
Who is your customer? What do they browse on? Which language do they read?
Most visitors today arrive on their phones, so we design for the phone first, then for larger screens.
Sketch your pages
You don’t need a final list — a draft will do:
- Home
- About
- Services or products
- Work or gallery
- Contact
Then add what is specific to your business: FAQs, appointment booking or a blog.
Prepare your content as far as you can
Content is what makes a design real:
- Short texts about your business and your services
- Real photos of your products, your place or your team
- Your logo and brand colours, if you have them
- Phone numbers and links to your social accounts
It’s fine if not everything is ready; what matters is knowing what exists and what still needs preparing.
Decide on languages from the start
Arabic only? Or Arabic, Hebrew and English?
Adding a language later is possible, but planning for it from the start saves a lot: text direction, fonts and how long the text runs in each language.
Collect examples you like
Send us links to websites or accounts you like — even from another field — and tell us what you liked about them: the colours? The simplicity? The way products are shown?
Examples like these save a lot of explaining.
The domain
If you already have a domain name, let us know. If not, we’ll help you choose a short name that is easy to remember.
In short
You don’t need every answer before you start. Knowing your goal, your audience and the content you have is enough — and we take it from there together.
You can start from the “Start your project” page: five short steps, and your message reaches us on WhatsApp.
